Impatience and inconsistency leads to blogging disappointment

Patience, how many people can indeed practice it? You can never attain success blogging if you are not patient and consistent because, blogging falls into the category of businesses tagged, 'Do the work and forget the money' Later, the money would come! So, if you go into blogging with the mindset of getting rich overnight, then, you are definitely in the wrong business and will be disappointed in no time.
Many have withdrawn from the race because along the line they discovered that it isn't as easy as they thought. Whether you choose to monetize your blog through 3rd party ad networks like adsense, clicksor, infolinks or sell advert spaces or even affiliate for others, no one is easy. Or, is it attracting visitors to your blog that comes easy? To get just a single person online to view your blog posts 'no bi moi moi.' Before your blog becomes discoverable and popular among the people, a lot of effort and hard work needs to be done. You must work hard on your contents to distinguish yourself. Never listen to those who tell you that when you start a blog, automatically you start earning six figures and they persuade you to buy their books or training materials on how to make six figures blogging. Some will even tell you to quit your 9-5 job and start blogging. Don't try it! Rather, see how you can combine both then when the blog gets going and can pay your bills then you can quit your job. Yes, it is possible to earn six figures from blogging but a lot of effort, hard work, consistency, powerful contents is needed.
Blogging is not a get rich quick scheme. Linda Ikeji blogged for 4 years without making a dime. How many people can indeed be patient that long? No other thing could have been driving her other than passion. The stories of other successful bloggers like Neil Patel and co are not different from hers. You cannot erase the power passion from a successful blog. These bloggers had passion for what they did and that kept them going when the going was tough. Make passion the driving force of your blog, be consistent, don't be in a hurry to explode and don't give up. Over time, things would definitely turn around for you.

Drawing attention to the uncivilized behaviors of Lagosians

Whenever strangers from within the country visit Lagos, immediately they see a society that is enveloped by the darkness. Everything they experience, observe and see seems to be upside down and chaotic. They lament, how could human beings adapt to such a life of hell without any out roar of being fed up. Just like the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti would say, “suffering and smiling.” That is the best description for the life in Lagos.
If fellow Nigerians from other states could feel this way about Lagos, then how much more strangers from outside the country. They would feel like running back after experiencing just a day in Lagos. This is one key reason preventing investors from coming into the country. Lagos is the first point of call to any investor willing to invest in the country. Nobody would want to invest in a society that is not working, upside down and chaotic. Civilization is so far away from Lagos. But to Lagosians, in fact, they are the most civilized people in the world; every other person is uncivilized. Just like a mad man who feels he is sane and everybody around him is insane. Lagosians do the wrong things in place of the right things. And when they see you trying to do the right thing, they think you are abnormal. They would even rein abuses on you saying, “don’t you know that this is Lagos?” You are not sharp; you are not smart etc; Just because you are trying to do the right thing. The story of many visitors in Lagos has been, ‘if you cannot beat them, then join them.’ So, within few days a visitor in Lagos has adapted to this life of hell and already behaving like other Lagosians.
Bookmakers describe Lagos as the second worst city to live in the world. Why would it not be; with all the uncivilized activities putting the state among the blacklisted cities of the world? Activities such as:
·         Smuggling of contraband commodities such as rice, vegetable oil, frozen turkey and chicken.
·         Begging and street hawking in every nook and cranny of the city.
·         Bribery and corruption experienced by transporters in the hands of Police, Road safety and Agberos.
.    Bus conductors hanging by the door instead of reserving a seat for himself
·         Lawlessness
·         Pollution from noise, vehicle exhaust, generators and company machinery.
·         Breaking of traffic rules by motorists.
·         Massive traffic jam everywhere in the state.
·         Armed robbery, kidnapping, ritual killings, scamming, drug trafficking, child trafficking by residence.
·         Bad roads and poor drainages leading to flooding whenever it rains.
·         Erratic power supply
·         Congestion, confusion and disorderliness. One can go on and on.
In a civilized state, all these shameful activities can never happen. Have we not seen the organization
and orderliness in other cities of the world. Why can't we borrow a leaf from them?
If we do not pay cognizance attention to these things and find a long lasting solution to them, then the so much talked about CHANGE would be a word said in the wind. Let us all CHANGE from within.
CHANGE begins with me!

House and Home

A home has various meanings. First of all, it is a dwelling place in the form of a physical building. Secondly, it is a community where members of a family live together. Theoretically, a family can exist without a house and vice versa. Furthermore, there are homes in which people are happy without having a grand residence while on the other hand there are cases of people leading a cold homelife in gorgeous mansions. In that sense, the problem of housing and that of home can be entirely different. We may even sing about our “home, sweet home,” no matter how small it is. However, I am afraid it is very painful if you have to live in a residence below a certain level of size and convenience. In fact, isn’t it only when the space of a residence is above a certain size that you can have the realization of happiness? A house is, after all, matter, and to be too particular about it may sound materialistic. But the building cannot be slighted as the foundation of an enjoyable homelife. Looking around I feel that no matter how much value we place on the intangible object we call home, we cannot know the meaning of it unless it is accompanied by a tangible object called a house.

What can destroy your blog traffic

Never start a blog if you know you are not really prepared to keep the blog awake and alive through continuous publishing of rich, informative, educative and entertaining contents. Before starting a blog, you must have a clear picture of what you intend to achieve with the blog. Spring into action and start one only when you discover an opening that needs to be closed or a vacuum that needs to be filled. However, a firm knowledge, understanding and passion is required on whatever niche you intend to use to close the opening or fill the vacuum. Never enter a niche based on someone else’s success in that niche. Finding yourself in an unfamiliar niche would eventually lead to inconsistency until you get stock and can no longer proceed in publishing contents related to the niche. Or, worst of all, you find yourself going into similar niche sites to copy related contents.
When this happens, you can qualify yourself as slumbering. And when you slumber, your blog slumbers. The consequence of this is that it hits back on whatever traffic you have been able to attract to the blog. Your traffic starts declining gradually until it is nothing to write home about.
The success of any site has to do with the number of traffic it can attract. A lot of hard work and effort is also required before a considerable amount of traffic starts rolling in. This is the more reason why you must choose a niche you are conversant with and can create powerful contents around with ease. Your passion for the niche also helps surmount whatever challenges you might encounter along the line.
Stay focus, be patient, be consistent and never give up. No manner of frustration will ever drive you into failure.
