The difference between a Chinese man and a Nigerian is that the
Chinese man is always ready to work. He doesn't give a damn what people
think of him. He is not ashamed to carry out his work in the presence of
an admired lady no matter how low profiled the work is. Tell me, how
would such a people not progress in the long run? But in Nigeria,
everybody is forming levels. Levels that is not taking us anywhere.
Everybody living false life. In order to meet up with our false
lifestyle, we delve into things we shouldn't. Tell me, for how long can
we continue like this?
20 years ago, if they told us that the Chinese would be major players
in projects handling in Nigeria, we would have argued. Chinese? No, no,
that is impossible! It is happening before our very eyes. The Chinese
are everywhere in the country now, running things. No thanks to the poor
economic situation and fallen standards of the country.
Government
can no longer afford to award projects/contracts to renowned first
class companies of the world to handle anymore. Like government, like
people. Even Nigerians have no choice too. We are all customers to
Chinese products in one way or the other. No matter how we try to resist
Chinese products, it just finds its way into our lives somehow because
of its strong market presence. Be it in clothes, fashion accessories,
shoes, electronics, phones etc, Chinese products are dominating the
market. If not for China what would have become of Nigeria and
Nigerians? China has really saved us from high cost of living and
hardship. So, let us give them kudos. Some Chinese areas of interest in
Nigeria are:
1. Oil and Gas
2. Telecommunications
3. Transportation
4. Power (Electricity)
5. Construction

How early exposure to ICT devices can ruin teenagers
No doubt about it, information and communications technology (ICT) has
definitely made the world a better place for all. It has made a lot
positive impact on the teenagers of today. No wonder this epoch is
referred to as the computer age. Anything and everything is tendering
towards digital technology. With the aid of the computer, something that
could take days to accomplish is achieved in matters of seconds now.
The computer has continued to proof its definition right, as a device that
makes work easier and faster to accomplish. With more and more great
inventions yet to come in this regards, the sky can only be starting
point for digital and computerized world.
As it has been rightly confirmed, there is nothing good without a bad side too. Early exposure to ICT is really impacting negatively on teenagers of today. They are mostly distracted by a lot of ICT devices like ipods, ipads, tablets, blackberry, android phones etc. With these devices, they come in contact with X rated and explicit contents, spend there precious time playing computer games or visiting social media platforms like facebook, twitter, instagram, whatapps e.t.c.
These new age leisure techniques that teenagers of today derive so much pleasure in and engage themselves has completely replaced old time leisure methods like engaging in folk plays & games, folk songs & dances, story telling, rendering voluntary & humanitarians services, joining social clubs like the boys scout, girls guide, red cross, boys brigade e.t.c.
The teenagers of today have succeeded in establishing a great social online presence to the detriment of their academics, religious and moral standards. Unlike before whereby teenagers are encouraged to embrace the world of books and literatures, social media exercises like chatting, posting, twitting etc are now the in thing.
We cannot over rule the fact that youths of today spend more time with the media rather than with their parents or teacher and the challenges are enormous. Only close monitoring of the manner of usage of these ICT devices can actually curb situation.

The contibution of Counterfeiting to slow economy growth rate
The standard of living of Nigerians has fallen so low that we cannot
even recognize substandard products when we see one. Even marketers now
proclaim the counterfeit products as the genuine ones, confusing would
be buyers the more.
The body responsible for the inspection and regulation of all products manufactured or imported into the country i.e the standard organization of Nigeria (SON) is in deep comatose. Since there is no watch dog for standards as far as importation is concerned, the country has become a dumping ground for fake, counterfeit and substandard products.
The ICT industry in the country is evolving very fast, some miscreants are taking advantage of it to deprive populace of quality and genuine ICT products at affordable prices because of their own selfish gains.
Substandard ICT products have a damaging effect on the economy, posing grave dangers to the health, safety of the buyer and constituting environmental hazard.
The impact of counterfeiting on the economy cannot be overemphasized. Manufacturers of authentic products wallow in pains as they lose their market to counterfeit dealers. This hit back at the economy, causing massive unemployment rate, loss of revenue and tax by the government, copyright and trademark infringement, unfair competition e.t.c.
Statistics has shown that over 250 million substandard mobile phones are sold yearly in the country. These phones, because of substandard materials used in their manufacturing can be very injurious to the user. Cases of malware, virus, spyware, trojans are on the increase because of the use of fake phones.
The way forward however is continual sensitization of consumers on the dangers of acquiring substandard ICT devices. Then, right and reliable contacts where authentic ICT products could be bought should be made known to the populace.
The pleasure is my whenever am permitted to share my surface, minute and faint knowledge of ICT with the rest of the world. It also gladdens my heart whenever I share my thoughts, knowledge and experiences with others. Chatting, watching videos, listen to music, gaming, surfing social media networks, phone calls, sending sms e.t.c are but a few activities they engage in with their mobile phones which is gradually becoming propensities.

Why many quit blogging
Yes,
it is that bad because people perceive blogging wrongly. They think
blogging is a get rich quick scheme. Thus they concentrate their
thoughts on the glamour that comes with blogging forgetting that a lot
of hard work needed to be done to attain this status. They preoccupy
their minds with earning six figures income, becoming famous and
traveling around the world. No
matter how serious you may be, you become demoralized and demotivated
when your thoughts finally proves you wrong and only option left is to
exit blogging feeling very disappointed.
Don’t
be deceived or brain washed by people who tell you when you start a
blog, you automatically start earning six figures. It doesn’t work like
that! Blogging requires persistent and consistent effort to win the
hearts of people and convert them to permanent audience. This you can
achieve only when your blog is regarded as a solution provider and
pleasure point.
Therefore,
concentrate your thoughts on how to help people solve their problems or
feel better with your blog. A lot of hard work is involved, though. But
in no time people start regarding you as an authority in what you do,
build trust and confidence in you and then making money blogging becomes
a seemingly possibility.
