Firstly, Inverters are very expensive. A Generator of the same capacity is three times cheaper.
Secondly, Inverters are very cumbersome to install and requires the professional hands of an expert. This discourages many a people from acquiring one.
Thirdly, an Inverter cannot run on standalone. Users of Inverters still require a Generator set of higher capacity or electricity supply for the purpose of charging its batteries. So, owning an Inverter is seen as double expenses by most people.
Lastly, the cost of maintenance in times of breakdown can be very exorbitant. Most especially battery replacement can be very capital intensive.
