Key upgrades that should be carried out by lagging Nigeria banks

Some banks in Nigeria are way behind their counterparts and need to upgrade their facilities and infrastructure to meet up with modern trends in the world. Most especially the Information Technology (IT) department because the strength of good service delivery and the pride of any bank lies in an active and vibrant Information Technology (IT) department.
Suggested upgrades that could be carried out by these banks to improve their service delivery include replacement of e-mail system with a robust and resilient Microsoft exchange, develop credit risk management system solution, replacement of obsolete servers with high speed modern IBM power 7 servers, migration to a higher and more robust version Finacle among the rest.
An intelligent e-mail system will improve internal and external communications of the banks as well as staff productivity and increase ATM outlets by 100%. Similarly, having a good credit risk management system solution will boost credit approval process turn around time. Also, installation of high definition servers and robust version of Finacle will boost operation across the bank's branch network allowing for smooth and free flow of bank transactions.
