Given the physically impaired a sense of belonging in ICT

It is very pathetic that most ICT and telecommunications companies operating in the country never take cognizance notice and consideration for the physically impaired citizens when rolling out products and services. Yet these people form a sector of the total population of the country.
Physically challenged citizens such as the blind, lame and crippled yearn for recognition from these companies and also want to partake in whatever products and services their able counterparts are benefiting from these companies.
Any ICT or telecoms company that eventually put these physically impaired ones into it agenda and program when rolling out products and services would definitely experience an increase in its subscriber base. This could even catapult them to a position enviable by all.
Recollect the tussle between Globacom Nigeria and Airtel Nigeria for supremacy and who deserves to be second leading telecoms company in Nigeria? If Airtel could roll out innovative products and services that suits the physically challenged citizens, it might end up surpassing Globacom to become the second leading telecoms company in the country. Similarly, on the other hand, if Globacom could also do likewise, then it would also help to keep Airtel at bay.
The financial institution are also not left out. Nothing wrong if a bank could position its ATMs in such a way that a person on wheel chair could use the ATM to carry out transactions. Braille facility can also be incorporated into the ATMs so that the blind and visually impaired can use the ATMs.
