What is Google’s success secret?

Sometimes, I wonder whether the empire called Google was built on meta-physical principles. Yes, because, all their products and services lead while others follow. Even android OS that came out yesterday has succeeded in pushing out all other phone OS to become the best ever developed phone operating system. Now all windows executable programs have their android version. Is it Microsoft office, Adobe or Corel draw, they all have their android version downloadable free on Google play store.
Gmail, Adsense, Youtube, Feed burner, Google search engine, Google play store are all leaders in their respective genre. Google parades about the best programmers in the world and this contributed immensely to their acclaimed success. Also, not being too rigid and secretive helped the success of some of their products. Android for instance, became a huge success because it was opened up to the world. Just anybody can become an android programmer.
