MTN hires law expatriate to fight fine

MTN has employed the services of renowned US lawyer and ex attorney-general to president Barracks Obama, Mr. Eric Holder to apply his wealth of experience in tackling the 3.9USD fine imposed on them by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) after they failed to comply with its directive to deactivate all unregistered SIM cards late last year.
Holder is currently holding talks with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) authorities in a bead to settle out court. However, as far as the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is concerned, its has already tempered justice with mercy by reducing the fine from 5.2USD to 3.9USD which is about 25% reduction after MTN filed an appeal. So, it is not interested in any further deliberation which MTN may want to tender.
