Encouraging indigenous ICT companies

The Nigerian factor of preference of foreign commodities rather than home made products is really affecting and gradually killing our indigenous ICT companies. This is one of the biggest challenges faced by local software and hardware IT industries in the country. Most of them are on the verge of collapse because of lack of patronage.
This is the reason why the Nigeria Computer Society is calling out on the government to implement policies that support local content patronage in ministries, departments, organizations, corporate bodies and agencies.
This is the only way government can assist the local IT industries and boost their morale for continual research, innovations and inventions that will bring about social and economic development, create real wealth and jobs.
