Can we trust the new Electricity distribution companies (DISCO)?

Nigerians are still skeptical whether to put their trust completely on this new development in electricity supply in the country. Many are thinking of switching from their present businesses to power driven businesses. Can this electricity improvement be trusted and stand the test of time?
It has put majority in dilemma and the distribution companies (DISCOs) have being accused of being interested in profit margin rather than putting instrastructure in place for sustenance of steady electricity supply distribution.
The analog system of billing has been indicted severally as not being a transparent system of billing. Consumers are billed for what they did not consume. How they arrive at charges for various consumers is puzzling and needs to be unraveled. There is this apparent sluggishness noticed in making digital prepaid meters available to all. This is the only way to curb wrong billing system being experienced by many consumers presently. The distribution companies (DISCOs) should channel their effort on capacity building to improve the quality of electricity supply delivered to consumers rather than concentrate on tariff hike. Many areas still suffer from low voltage supply because the distribution companies (DISCOs) have refused to upgrade there capacities.
Tariff hike by the distribution companies (DISCOs) have negative effect on the economy. It causes instability in many businesses leading to eventual shutdown, throwing many back into the labour market.
