Megawatts that doesn't transform into real light

Government should please stop blowing its trumpet concerning electricity supply and raising megawatts. What the common man wants is steady uninterrupted supply of electricity. Whether it is 2 megawatts or 10,000 megawatts that does this, is immaterial to him. This is where the government is missing the point. They continue to raise megawatts that doesn’t transform into electricity.

Recently, it was announced that Nigeria electricity generation has hit 7000 megawatts but yet we are still in darkness. It is quite obvious that the fundamental problem with our power system has not yet been identified so that it can be tackled. If not so, then the effort put into making the Nigeria electricity power system work by the present and previous governments would have culminated into a boastful at least 15hrs steady uninterrupted supply of electricity all over the country. But this is not so. We are yet to witness even 5hrs uninterpreted supply of electricity.
